VENDOR INFORMATION
Dear Community Partner
On Monday, January 19, 2009, Sacramento will host its 27th annual Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) March and Celebration. As Sacramento’s most diverse event, this celebration brings thousands together in a show of unity to honor the memory of Martin Luther King Jr. and to rededicate themselves to the principles of Freedom and Justice. We hope you are as excited as we are to be a part of Sacramento’s Martin Luther King Jr. March and Celebration. “Building a Community of Hope!”
The MLK celebration will take place at the Sacramento Convention Center and will include a six mile community-wide march, information booths covering such topics as employment, health, finance and personal development. The event will also feature musical entertainment, a fashion show, an oratory contest and plenty of children’s activities.
We invite your company to join us for the 2009 MLK Celebration. As a vendor, your company will receive valuable general and diverse market visibility. Just ask a few of our partners: Nehemiah Corporation of America, City of Sacramento, Regional Transit, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Comcast, California Teachers Association, Countrywide and Sacramento City College.
MLK365 is the non-profit organization responsible for this and many other events, including advertising campaigns designed to promote messages of character and hope, self-help job and challenge grants, MLK speaker’s bureau, King Recognition Awards Banquet and classroom and Web-based curriculum.
Your contribution will help us pay for these and other activities planned for our 2009 year. In order to meet your specific needs, we would welcome the opportunity to design a special vendor package that addresses your marketing goals. Please jump on board as our train of hope gets on the move.
